Pair of eclectic shelves in carved and gilded wood in Mecca, Italy third quarter 19th century. Lower end composed of a bellflower topped by curls, which support the shelf surface covered in velvet. A vertical structure extends from the floor, decorated with large lateral leaf elements and a pair of central flowers; crown with three flowers at the apex. Small renovations and gilding restorations. Slight defects in the gilding.

The structure, which refers to the typology of Renaissance chests, is made of wood covered in painted iron sheet, decorated with embossed plant motifs of clear Art Nouveau taste. Traces of the original color are still visible in some places. The trunk is also externally reinforced with wooden slats, while internally it is covered with contemporary paper. Lock and zips on the front. Small defects in the sheet metal covering.

Baroque chest supported by carved double bracket feet, the front is also richly decorated with carvings: large central blazon framed between two panels with geometric motifs and two lateral pilasters with angel heads and phytomorphic motifs. In walnut, it has restorations.
